This 2018 Fender Road Worn 50s Telecaster is in overall excellent cosmetic condition. This guitar has been aged from the factory and has the appearance of being a well loved instrument. The neck profile is a chunky 50s carve and has a slight V from the first fret to the fifth fret and then tapers to more of a C shape. This neck feels exceptionally good in hand and is very comfortable to play. The finish on the back of the neck has gone through an aging process from the factory resulting in a silky smooth maple playing surface that feels fantastic and never sticky. The frets show some minor signs of use but nothing significant and will provide its new owner with years worth of playing life. The Tex Mex single coil pickups in this guitar sound great and are very versatile. The bridge pickup has a slightly overwound vintage tone that delivers a very clear, spanky sound and it excels both clean and dirty. The neck pickup is round and fat with plenty of clarity and sounds great clean or for thick overdriven leads. These pickups also sound great together and are very balanced. This guitar is suitable for anything from country to soul to rock. The Copper finish is extremely cool and looks striking especially paired with the aged hardware and single ply black pickguard. The Road Worn Series guitars are an excellent buy. These guitars offer incredibly solid build quality, top notch pickups and electronics and aged finishes for a very reasonable price. If you are looking for an outstanding Telecaster, this one is hard to beat. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
