Excellent condition featuring single cutaway mahogany body, two piece maple top with Surf Green finish, single bound top edges, two open coil Gibson 57 Classic humbuckers with white and black bobbins and cream colored plastic pickup surrounds, two volume controls and two tone controls with gold speed knobs, three-way pickup selector switch with white tip, stop tailpiece, wired ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge with six individual adjustable steel saddles, elevated cream colored plastic pickguard with steel mounting bracket, mahogany neck, bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Gibson open book peghead, black peghead face with Gibson pearl logo and gold printed Les Paul Model logo, multi-ply black and white bell shaped truss rod cover with Classic engraving, three per side Grover Rotomatic locking tuning machines with steel kidney bean buttons, serial number and Made in USA impressed into the back of the peghead, single ply black plastic electronics cavity control cover plate and switch plate, two metal strap buttons and original brown Tolex covered Gibson branded hard shell case and all paperwork. This 2017 Gibson Les Paul Classic T is in overall excellent cosmetic condition showing hardly any signs of play wear throughout. The nitrocellulose finish on the treble side of the top has some weather checking (see photos). The neck profile is very comfortable in hand and is the Gibson 1960 shape which is thinner and faster than the 50s shape with a 1 11/16" nut width. The frets show virtually no signs play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them. This Les Paul has been set up and plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. The Gibson 57 Classic pickups sound phenomenal in this guitar and deliver all of the fat, articulate and woody tones that you would expect from a Les Paul. This guitar screams through an overdriven amp! The ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge is perfect for keeping your intonation on point and the Grover locking Rotomatic tuning machines keep your tuning rock solid and make string changes a snap. The Surf Green finish was a limited edition option offered by Gibson in 2017 and you don’t see too many of these floating around. This Les Paul stands out in a sea of sunburst Lesters and sounds just as killer as it looks!
