This guitar weighs 9lb 4oz.
This EGC Tyranny is in excellent cosmetic condition showing some signs of play wear including some faint scratches on the back of the body (see photos). The body was acid dipped by the builder. The neck profile is the Denison shape and is a bit chunkier than the usual super thin profile but still not a large profile. This neck is super comfortable in hand with a 1 11/16” nut width. The frets show almost zero signs of wear and this guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard with low action and good intonation. This instrument is currently set up with Beefy Slinky strings and tuned to C. The EGC pickups sound ferocious and giant with plenty of output. I was quite surprised by the punchy nature of this guitar. Both pickups are glorious with a gnarly fuzz pedal but the neck pickup also sounds extremely warm and thick - perfect for clean reverb sounds and fat, overdriven lead tones. This Tyranny, from the factory, has a two way toggle on the treble side horn that when engaged will take the tone controls out of the circuit. EGC builds righteous guitars and this one is no exception. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
