This 2014 Gibson Les Paul 1959 Reissue Skinnerburst is in excellent and nearly unplayed cosmetic condition. The frets on this guitar show little to no signs of play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them. The neck profile is that of a late 50s carve and feels incredible in hand. This instrument has been professionally set up and plays great up and down the fingerboard. The rosewood used for this fingerboard is of the very dark variety and is extremely attractive and responsive. This Les Paul is extremely loud and resonant when unplugged. The Burstbucker III neck pickup sounds incredible through a clean or overdriven amp and has a round fat tone that never gets muddy. The Custombucker bridge pickup has a clear mid-range biting tone that sounds fantastic.

300 of these guitars were produced and this one is number 67. These Les Pauls were built directly from the specs of a 1959 Gibson Les Paul that belongs to professional guitarist Joe Bonamassa that he affectionately nicknamed  “Skinnerburst.” This is an exceptional instrument with an extremely attractive curly maple top and one of the very best '59 reissue Les Pauls that I’ve come across. If you are a fan of Les Pauls, a Bonamassa fan or a fan of just great guitars in general, this instrument certainly checks all of the boxes.
