Excellent condition featuring double cutaway contoured alder body with two tone sunburst finish, three Fender single coil pickups with parchment white plastic pickup covers, one volume control and two tone controls with parchment white plastic skirted knobs, five way pickup selector switch with white plastic tip, multi-ply black and parchment white beveled edge plastic pickguard, two point pivot tremolo bridge with six individual adjustable Fender stamped bent steel saddles, pointed oval metal output jack mounted to the top treble side of the body, bolt on maple neck with walnut skunk stripe, maple fingerboard with abalone dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, small Fender Stratocaster peghead shape with Fender spaghetti logo, Stratocaster logo and Made In USA on the peghead face, six in a line individual Fender stamped sealed tuning machines with small pearloid tuner buttons, serial number and commemorative 60th Anniversary badge located on the back of the peghead, contoured neck heel, four bolt neck fastening plate with commemorative Stratocaster 60th Anniversary engraving, multi-ply black and parchment white plastic tremolo cavity cover plate, two metal strap buttons, gold plated metal hardware and original rectangular tweed covered Fender hard shell case with plush red interior and Fender commemorative 60th Anniversary patch on the inside top lid (The original hard case shows some wear on the tweed exterior and one latch isn't working).
This 2013 Fender 60th Anniversary Commemorative Stratocaster is in overall excellent cosmetic condition except for one dime sized ding on the bass side edge of the body that I have photographed. The neck profile is that of a modern C shape and feels nice and fast in the hand. The frets show very minor signs of play wear and have a ton of life left. This guitar plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low action and great intonation. The Fender pickups sound great in all five positions with a very strong “bell” like quality that really shines through a clean Fender amp. The two point pivot tremolo bridge is set up well and functions smoothly and the original trem bar in included. This Stratocaster has a very nice two tone sunburst finish that is complimented well by the all gold hardware, pearloid tuner buttons and dark abalone fret markers giving this instrument a very distinctive look and personality. This Stratocaster is also very lightweight, weighing in at 6lb 6oz. If you are looking for a very nice American made Stratocaster then this one may be the one!
