2011 Gibson Melody Maker Flying V Satin Blue

This 2011 Gibson Melody Maker Flying V is in excellent cosmetic condition. This instrument is exceptionally clean and appears to have been very well taken care of. This guitar features a thin lightweight mahogany body with a textured satin blue finish, a set one-piece mahogany neck with a baked maple fingerboard, a rock solid wraparound stop tailpiece, a single Gibson 491T ceramic humbucking pickup in the bridge position and one volume control. This V has a very nice feeling medium rounded neck profile with a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck is very comfortable and easy to play. The fret wire is in terrific almost unplayed condition and shows no dents or divots. This guitar plays exceptional up and down the fingerboard with comfortable action and great intonation. The wraparound stop tailpiece on this instrument has been upgraded to a compensated unit (the original studs remain) that works extremely well and really adds another layer of tuning stability and intonation to this V. The Gibson 491T humbucking pickup absolutely screams and the original electronics are in perfect working order. These Melody Maker Vs are pretty rad, straightforward rock machines! This guitar is housed in its original Gibson branded padded gig bag for safe travels. This guitar weighs 5lb 8oz.
