This Martin D-35 Johnny Cash is a great sounding and playing instrument that looks as good as it performs. The playability of this guitar is superb. The action is set low and the guitar plays with great ease. An ideal candidate for many styles of play, this guitar sounds fantastic as well. The guitar is well more even and balanced than some D-35s we have played. As a strummer, the guitar projects well with a very even tone and great warmth. As a fingerpicker, this 35 is articulate and clear with a superb roundness to the tone. The K&K Pure Mini pickup sounds fantastic. A great looking guitar, this instrument is a show piece, for sure. It is limited edition number 96 of the first 100 made during the first year the Johnny Cash model went into production at Martin. This guitar is a fantastic and early example of the D-35 Johnny Cash and we like it a lot. We think you will, too.
