This incredibly cool 2002 Gibson Explorer is in excellent cosmetic condition and shows some signs of play wear throughout including a few small dings around the body edges, some faint pick scratches and some buckle wear on the back of the body that isn’t through the finish and is impossible to capture in photographs. Overall this guitar is in very nice condition and it appears to have been well cared for. The neck on this Explorer is that of a thin profile with a flatter center and rounded shoulders. This neck feels exceptional, fast and comfortable. The original frets are in terrific condition and don’t show any indentation. This instrument plays great up and down the fingerboard with excellent intonation. The original electronics are functioning perfectly and the original Gibson pickups sound righteous! This guitar excels with an overdriven amplifier and is perfect for all styles of Rock N Roll. This particular example is also very lightweight and resonant - unplugged it rings out loud and clear! This guitar only weighs 7lb 4oz, too! If you are after a lightweight ripper, this is the one.
