This 2000 (first year of issue) Gibson SG Gothic model is in very good cosmetic condition throughout showing some signs of play wear including pick scratches and a few dings here and there (see photos). There is also a mark on the bass side horn (see photos). The neck profile is that of a chunky 50s style and feels absolutely fantastic in hand. The original medium jumbo frets are in excellent shape showing hardly any signs of play wear and have tons of life left in them. The ebony fingerboard is clean and looks great with the crescent moon and star inlay at the 12th fret. This instrument has been set up and plays very good up and down the fingerboard. The original Gibson 490R and 498T humbucking pickups sound great and have the fat articulate growl these pickups are known for. These pickups have a bit of compression and sound fabulous with loads of gain. These instruments were built from the year 2000 until 2003 and you don't see them come up for sale very often. These are sought out by collectors and players alike and this one is a killer example. If you're searching for one of these instruments from the original run, this one is from the first year of issue and is ready to find a great new home. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
