Excellent condition featuring single cutaway body with white textured edges, two single coil lipstick tube pickups, one volume control and one tone control with white knobs, three way pickup selector switch, clear Plexiglas pickguard with decorative white stripe, adjustable improved Danelectro style bridge, maple neck, East Indian rosewood fingerboard with small pearl dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Danelectro Coke bottle peghead shape with Jerry Jones Guitars logo and Neptune sticker, three per side vintage Kluson style tuning machines with oval steel buttons, four bolt neck fastening system, four pickup height adjustment screws on the back, metal electronics control cavity cover plate, Gold Sparkle finish with matching peghead, two metal strap buttons, and rectangular hard shell case.
This Neptune U2 is in fantastic cosmetic and phenomenal playing condition. The neck profile on this guitar is that of a thin carve and is extremely comfortable in hand. The frets show minimal signs of play wear and have plenty of life left in them. The body has a few signs of play wear and some nicks here and there but nothing serious or noticeable. These Jerry Jones guitars are expertly built and are the perfect instrument for studio use anytime you need a Danelectro sound with excellent playability, intonation and tuning stability. This guitar was built in Nashville in 1998. These instruments are obviously no longer in production and are extremely sought after. If you're looking for one of these, this one is truly great and shouldn't be passed up.
