This very fine 1990 Fender American Vintage 57 Reissue Stratocaster is in excellent cosmetic condition. The instrument shows only slight signs of play wear throughout including three very tiny dings around the edge of the body (not through the finish) and some very faint pick scratches on the bass side horn. In other respects, this is one of the cleanest examples of the model that I have encountered in some time. This Stratocaster is all original throughout, has not been tampered with in any way and includes all of its original paperwork. The neck profile on this Stratocaster is that of a slimmer rounded C shape, thinner than modern 57 reissues and original 1957 Stratocasters. Nevertheless, this profile feels very nice, is comfortable and very easy to play. The original frets show little to no play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them. This instrument plays great up and down the fingerboard. The original pickups and electronics are in excellent working order. This guitar sounds absolutely fantastic and delivers quintessential Stratocaster tones with ease. The pickups are very well balanced in all five positions, have a nice clear articulate tone and are really touch sensitive and dynamic. The neck is stamped May 15th 1989 and all three potentiometer codes date to the 17th week of 1987. This guitar is housed in its original rectangular tweed Fender hard shell case for safe travels. If you are looking for a top notch, extremely clean, all original example of this model, then you’ve found it.
