This guitar weighs 7lb 4oz.

This 1975 Gibson Marauder is in very good vintage cosmetic condition showing signs of play wear throughout and a few nicks and scratches (see photos). Overall this guitar is in great, well loved condition. Three of the tuning machines are unoriginal (see photos) but no modifications were made  during the installation. The strap buttons are later replacement locking units and the case is a modern Road Runner LP case that fits perfectly. The neck profile on this Marauder is that of a slimmer C shaped profile with a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck is extremely easy and fun to play and feels great in hand. The original frets show some signs of play wear but are overall in great shape and this guitar plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low action and good intonation. The original Bill Lawrence pickups not only look cool but really sound good as well! The single coil bridge pickup has a pretty woody, bright, snappy tone that sounds excellent with an overdriven amp and really shines with a gnarly fuzz pedal! The humbucking neck pickup sounds a bit more thick and round while still maintaining quite a bit of clarity, perfect for clean reverby sounds and thick distorted lead tones. These guitars are rad - Don’t let anyone tell you they aren’t! This is an excellent way to get yourself into a vintage Gibson electric guitar that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. These Marauders were made from 1975-1979 and the earlier ones featured a three way toggle switch while the later models had a three way rotary switch. This one happens to be an early one that plays great, sounds great and has righteous vibe. If you're looking for a Marauder, then this one should be on your radar. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
