The Gibson ES-325 is a fairly uncommon model made by Gibson from 1972-1978. This guitar is from the first year of issue with pot codes dated the 29th week of 1971. This instrument features an extremely slim neck profile with a 1 9/16" nut width, fully hollowbody construction, one f-hole, and two Firebird style Gibson mini-humbucking pickups with non-adjustable poles. This Gibson guitar is set up in good playing order and is loud and resonant unplugged. This guitar can produce very unique and classic Gibson hollowbody tones which you may have heard on some Kings of Leon songs since it's the guitar of choice for Caleb Followill. The knobs on this guitar have been replaced with black speed knobs. A Bigsby tailpiece has been added (no additional holes were drilled as this guitar came from the factory with a trapeze tailpiece) and the tuning machines are Schaller replacements (the holes from the original Kluson tuners remain). The nut on this guitar is original and may be replaced for greater playability if desired - we chose to the keep the guitar as original as possible. This guitar sounds incredible plugged in and has a great vibe. A fantastic and fairly rare unique bird indeed.
