1971 Marshall Model 1959 Super Lead 100W Amp Head

Excellent condition featuring 100 watts of power, EL34 power tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, four instrument inputs, gold aluminum front and rear panels, original brown and gold Marshall knobs, metal Power and Standby switches, square red jewel light, black rubberized handle, four round plastic feet, original Output and Mains pull out selector knobs, white plastic stock number badge, serial number 0469C impressed into the back panel, two rear speaker output jacks, white plastic Marshall logo and original black Tolex covering with gold piping.

This 1971 Marshall Super Lead 100 is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition showing only slight wear on the corners of the Tolex. The white plastic badge on the rear panel is cracked and a sticker was removed from the rear aluminum panel (see photos). This is hands down the cleanest example of a Super Lead from this era that we have seen in quite a long time. It’s just super tidy. This Marshall is as original as it gets, is in flawless operational order and has been professionally serviced. The filter caps were replaced but all of the tone caps (mustard caps!) are original. Everything that you want to see in one of these amps is there! This amp is also extremely tidy on the inside (see photos). This example came from the factory with the round three prong power input and a new three prong power cable has been made for it using the original round connector. This Super Lead sounds absolutely glorious and delivers quintessential LOUD midrange aggression. Our shop is fortunate to have bought and sold a lot of extremely cool vintage amplifiers, but this one is certainly a stand out. You just can’t beat a 100w Super Lead. A gem of an amp shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
