1965 Lectrolab R500C 1x12 Combo Amp
Excellent condition featuring 20 watts of power, EL84 power tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, EZ81 rectifier tubes, one original 12” Jensen Special Design speaker, two channels, four inputs, volume and tone controls for both channels, brown control panel with white text and original stereo knobs, red jewel light, leather handle, multi color brown and tan grill cloth and khaki tan Tolex covering.
This 1965 Lectrolab amp is in excellent cosmetic condition showing only slight signs of wear throughout including some small Tolex nicks on the corners and some fraying of the Tolex on the upper left corner. Otherwise, this amp is in exceptionally fine shape. This Lectrolab is all original inside and out. The potentiometers have the code 304520 indicating that these components were made in the 20th week of 1965. The original 12” Jensen G12-R speaker has the code 220540 dating it to the 40th week of 1965. This amp is in perfect operating order and has been gone through, cleaned and inspected. It still retains its original two prong power cable. This Lectrolab sounds excellent. The amp stays pretty clean until around the 4 o’clock position and then it begins to saturate into a very awesome sounding overdrive. This amp has a dark chime that really has its own sound but does remind me of Gibson amps from this era. This Lectrolab lab is a perfect grab and go blues amp and would also excel as a harp amp. A gem of an amp shipped safely and promptly from our little shop in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
