1965 Fender Bassman Amp Head

Excellent condition featuring 50 watts of power, 6L6 power tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, Bass instrument channel with two inputs and “Deep” switch, Normal channel with two inputs and “bright” switch, black aluminum faceplate with white text, original black plastic skirted control knobs, red jewel light, protective steel corner caps on the bottom corners, original grill cloth, Fender with “tail” logo on the left side of the baffle board, original black rubberized handle, two speaker outputs on the rear panel along with the power and standby switches, serial number impressed into the rear of the chassis, tube chart located inside the cabinet and original black Tolex covering. 

This 1965 Fender Bassman is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition showing some signs of wear throughout including some nicks in the Tolex but nothing serious (see photos). This amp has been recently serviced and is in perfect working order. A few leaky caps were replaced but the tone caps are all original. A three prong power cable has been professionally installed for safe operation. All the transformers are original and date to the 12th and 13th week of 1965. All of the potentiometers are original and there is a visible code that reads 1376510 indicating that this component was made by CTS on the 10th week of 1965. The tube chart bears the code OH and dates this amp to August of 1965. This faceplate has the “Fender Electric Instrument Company” text underneath the Bassman Amp logo. This amp sounds tremendous and will provide its new owner with many years of faithful service.
