This 1964 Gibson Firebird III is in excellent cosmetic condition showing signs of lacquer checking, a few dings around the edges and some scratches on the back of the instrument (see photos), but is otherwise in excellent vintage cosmetic condition. The original frets have been dressed and the guitar has been professionally set up. This guitar plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. The original mini-humbucking pickups retain their original windings and sound fantastic. The bridge pickup delivers a raw biting tone and the neck pickup is clear and fat. The electronics are all original and have not been tampered with in any way. The switch tip and one strap button have been replaced. The original hard shell case is in overall very good condition, but the case handle is broken (see photos).
This Firebird III has been well cared for and has no cracks or breaks anywhere. It's just a super clean example of this model.
