1960 Kay Value Leader Short Scale Electric Bass K5961 Sunburst

This 1960 Kay Value Leader short scale electric bass model #5961 is in outstanding vintage cosmetic condition. This short scale stunner shows very, very little signs of play wear throughout and is overall just extremely tidy! This bass is all original throughout and includes its original and just as tidy chipboard case with all working latches and an intact handle. Also, it will include a super cool late 50s/early 60s Bobby Lee leather strap which has almost certainly been with this instrument since it was new. This model doesn’t pop up for sale as often as a lot of other Kay models and this example would be a genuinely great addition to any vintage instrument collection or a killer studio piece as it sounds exceptionally cool. This little bass has been professionally set up with a new set of strings and it plays fantastic up and down the maple fingerboard with low smooth action and good intonation.
