This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Special model is in excellent condition and one of the cleanest examples of this model I have seen in years. It is also one of the finest playing examples I have come across. This guitar has had a fret dress and a professional set up and plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. The neck profile is that of a mid 1959 - fat and hand filling. The pickups are original and retain their original windings. These pickups sound phenomenal and are very well-balanced. The electronics have not been tampered with in any way. This Les Paul Special shows very little signs of play wear or use and has been extremely well cared for. The original pickguard is completely intact and flat and shows no signs of warping, cracks or damage. The original pots work flawlessly and the original black bonnet knobs are extremely tidy. The original wraparound tailpiece is set up for optimum intonation and shows no signs of leaning or damage around the post. The original tuning machines work properly and still retain their original buttons. This is a no nonsense, no stories, 100% original 1959 Les Paul Special that is extremely collectible and hard to find in this condition. If you're looking to invest into a ridiculously good guitar, I recommend this one.
