1939 Rickenbacher Model B Lap Steel Rickenbacker
Excellent condition featuring solid black Bakelite body with decorative white plates, one horseshoe magnet pickup, one volume control and one tone control with pointed knobs (one black / one white), bolt on Bakelite neck with white dot fingerboard inlays, string through body construction, metal peghead plate with Richenbacker "Electro" Los Angeles logo, open gear tuning machines with white plastic buttons, and original hard shell case with blue plush interior lining.
This Richenbacher Model B is a great playing and sounding instrument. Though the tuners are changed (Waverly) and the treble side plastic insert is a replacement (see photos), this steel is in fantastic overall condition. As a player, this steel performs flawlessly and offers a versatile tone that covers ground from classic Jerry Byrd country and Hawaiian tones to overdriven David Lindley gold. If you are looking for a “real to go” example of one of the most desired steel guitars ever produced, this may be the one. A gem of a guitar shipped from our little shop in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
