Guild USA M-20 Natural Mahogany Concert Size Acoustic

This guitar features M size solid African mahogany body, scalloped X top bracing, decorative soundhole rosette, Indian rosewood bridge with compensated bone saddle, tortoiseshell grain pickguard, mahogany C shape neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays starting at the third fret, 1 3/4" nut width, bone nut, vintage Grover style open back tuning machines with white plastic buttons, pearloid Guild headstock logo, single ply black plastic truss rod cover, nickel plated metal hardware, satin nitrocellulose lacquer natural finish, and Guild Deluxe humidified black hard shell case.

This new California made Guild M-20 plays and sounds fantastic. It has a very comfortable body size to sit with and play. The neck profile is also very comfortable and the 1 3/4" nut width is perfect for fingerstyle and strumming. This M-20 has complex and articulate mahogany tones with very nice overtones. The M-20 model has a rich history with the Guild guitar company and has long been a fantastic option for beginning and advanced guitar players alike. Although we're big fans of Guild guitars made in the 50s and 60s, the neck profile and larger nut width definitely make this guitar a lot more player friendly than the older models. The solid African mahogany is extremely high quality and has very attractive grain and a thin satin finish. The guitar catches and reflects light beautifully. A fantastic offering from Guild USA.

This is a brand new guitar and the photos are of the instrument listed here for sale (not stock images).

From Guild: Guild’s iconic M-20 was the first guitar off the production line in 1967, when the company had grown so much that they relocated to a new factory in Westerly, RI. Nearly 50 years later, history has repeated itself in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in California. The M-20 is a concert size acoustic guitar built with solid mahogany top, back, and sides, informally nicknamed “the Nick Drake guitar” for its inclusion on the album art for Drake’s album, Bryter Layter. It features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and an extremely light satin finish that allows this guitar to truly sing. The M-20’s modest appointments include a vintage style rosette and Guild’s peak logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the headstock. Each M-20 comes with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a hardshell case.
