1978 Marshall 2104 JMP Master Model 50W MK2 2X12 Combo Amp

Very good condition featuring 50 watts of power, EL34 power tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 12” Celestion G12T-75 speakers, gold metal faceplate with black text, two inputs - high/low sensitivity, plastic red and black rocker style power and standby switches, Master volume and Pre-amp Volume, black plastic vent mounted to the top of the cabinet, black rubberized handle, four black plastic protective corner caps, black grill cloth, white piping, white plastic Marshall logo in the center of the grill cloth and original black Tolex covering. 

This 1978 Marshall 2104 JMP 50 is in very good cosmetic condition showing signs of use and play wear throughout (see photos). The metal faceplate has a slight bend in the corner by the JMP logo and the speakers have been replaced with a set of 1990s English made Celestion G12T-75s. This Marshall has been well cared for over the years and has been serviced and maintained frequently and belonged to the same gentleman for quite a long time. This Marshall functions perfectly, runs quiet and doesn’t produce any unnecessary noise such as scratchy pots, ground buzz, etc. All transformers are original and the inside of the amp is nice and tidy (see photos). This JMP 50 produces some stellar quintessential vintage Marshall tones. The overdriven sound of this amp is excellent and has a classic midrange thump with a round fuzzy bottom end that’s perfect for any kind of rock and roll. The Master volume and Pre amp volume allows you to roll in a saturated signal at a reasonable volume and, of course, the more you turn up the Master volume, the more this amp comes alive. This amp also has a pretty tremendous sounding clean that produces a nice dark chime and would be pretty ideal for pedals. If you are looking for a really good sounding and reliable vintage Marshall combo, this 43 year old JMP 50 is top notch.
