This 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio is in excellent cosmetic condition showing only slight signs of play wear throughout. There are 4 small dings around the edges of the body and some wear on the gold hardware that we have photographed. The neck profile on this guitar is that of a medium C shape and is a Gibson '60s carve. This neck feels a bit chunkier than most Gibson '60s thin carves to me and has nice shoulders and a 1 11/16” nut width. It's very comfortable to play. The frets and fingerboard are in virtually unplayed condition and have a lifetime of use left in them. This Les Paul plays tremendous up and down the fingerboard with low action and great intonation. The original Gibson 498T and 490R Alnico humbucking pickups sound terrific in this instrument. In my opinion, the 498T and 490R pickups are a bit more aggressive and meaty sounding than some of the more “classic” pickup variations that Gibson is producing these days. This is a particularly good example of a Studio model that could make its new owner very happy for years to come. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
