Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI (recent)

Excellent condition featuring offset poplar body with three-tone sunburst finish, maple C shape neck with gloss vintage tint, bound Indian Laurel fingerboard with pearloid block inlays starting at the first fret, enlarged maple peghead with vintage style Squier and VI logos, single butterfly string tree, six in a line vintage Kluson style tuning machines, four bolt neck fastening plate with engraved Squier logo, three Fender Alnico single coil pickups with three on/off slide switches, master volume and master tone controls with Jazz Bass/Mustang style black plastic knobs, two-position slide switch for bass-cut "strangle" circuit, Jazzmaster/Jaguar style tremolo tailpiece (tremolo bar missing - this model uses the same bar as a Jazzmaster), adjustable Mustang style bridge with six barrel saddles, and two metal strap buttons. The serial number has been stickered over and there is a faint "used" stamp on the top of the back of the peghead. The plastic and sticker are still on the pickguard and this instrument appears to have barely been played.

This is a very good playing and fun instrument with an array of unique sounds and an interesting combination of features from vintage Fender models. The Bass VI has always been of interest to players and collectors and we're happy that Squier has made an affordable and rock solid variation of this model. It's a very good instrument to have around to inspire new songs.

From the manufacturer: The Classic Vibe Bass VI is a faithful tribute to the secret weapon of producers and adventurous players that have dared to explore it since its original production from 1961 to 1975. Tuned an octave lower than a guitar and featuring a vintage-style tremolo, the Bass VI is the perfect companion to accompany any guitar or bass player into uncharted territory. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a floating bridge with barrel saddles for solid string stability. This throwback Squier model also features 1960s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.
