Excellent condition featuring 16 1/2" wide single cutaway hollowbody, spruce top, flamed two piece maple back, flamed maple sides, multiple bindings on the top and back body edges, two bound f-holes, printed Hofner logo on the bass side upper bout, two black bar pickups, two volume controls with black knobs, one volume switch, and two pickup switches mounted to multi-ply tortoiseshell grain plate, wood bridge with four individual saddles and two height adjustment wheels, trapeze tailpiece, and maple neck with beech centerstripe, bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays starting at the third fret, zero fret, bound peghead, black peghead veneer with Hofner and decorative inlays, single ply black truss rod cover open gear Wilkinson tuning machines with pearloid buttons, pearloid heel cap with strap button, sunburst finish, and black hard shell case.

This Hofner President bass has a very comfortable medium rounded neck profile that feels fantastic in the hand and is very fun to play! The fret wire on this bass is in excellent condition without any dents or divots. This Hofner has received a professional set up and it plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and great intonation. This bass has been set up with flatwound strings which are still in good shape and sound great. Both pickups sound exceptional and the electronics are in perfect working order. This bass delivers quintessential, hollow vintage thump and would excel as a studio instrument. The fit and finish on this Hofner is top notch and it’s just overall a very well made instrument. A nice black hard shell case is included with this bass for safe travels.
