Excellent condition featuring left-handed single cutaway mahogany body with red stain finish, two-piece figured maple top with Bourbon Burst finish and cream binding (thin through the cutaway like a 50s Les Paul), two humbucking pickups with cream pickup surrounds, two volume controls and two tone controls with gold knobs, three way toggle switch with cream Rhythm and Treble ring, single ply cream elevated pickguard with chrome metal bracket, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, mahogany neck with cherry red stain finish, bound Indian laurel fingerboard with trapezoid inlays starting at the third fret, redesigned Epiphone open book peghead, black peghead face with Epiphone logo and printed Les Paul Model logo, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover, three per side Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines with keystone buttons, serial number impressed in the back of the peghead, single ply black plastic electronics control cover plate and switch cover plate, and two metal strap buttons. The serial number of this guitar has been stickered over and there is a faint USED stamp on the back of the headstock but the guitar has no apparent flaws.
This recent Epiphone Les Paul Standard is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. The neck profile is that of the "50s" shape and feels nice, chunky and comfortable in hand. The Bourbon Burst finish is attractive and pairs well with the figured maple top. The frets show no signs of use and have loads of life left in them. This guitar has been professionally set up and plays fantastic up and down the fingerboard. The guitar shows no signs of wear anywhere and is very clean. The tuning machines operate smoothly and keep this instrument in great tune. The guitar sounds fantastic plugged in with a very clear biting tone from the bridge position pickup and a very natural and woody tone from the neck pickup. The guitar also features the new modern Epiphone peghead shape which I believe to be much more attractive than the old one. This Les Paul is ready for gigs, living room use, or recording right out of the gate. A whole lotta Les Paul for the money.
