This 2021 PRS S2 McCarty 594 is in excellent condition. This instrument shows light play wear throughout including some faint pick scratches, a pinhead sized ding on the tip of the peghead and a very small ding beside the A string tuner. Otherwise, this guitar is exceptionally tidy. The knobs are replacement gold dome top knurled knobs, the wiring harness has been updated to CTS potentiometers with orange drop capacitors and a set of Seymour Duncan APH-2s Alnico II Pro Slash signature humbucking pickups have been professionally installed (The original pickups and harness are not included). This guitar has the PRS Pattern Vintage neck profile and it feels exceptional in the hand. This neck is chunky with a perfectly rounded back and soft shoulders with a 1 11/16” nut width. The fret wire on this instrument is in fantastic condition and shows almost no wear. This guitar has just been set up and it plays outstanding up and down the rosewood fingerboard with low snappy action, excellent tuning stability and spot on intonation. This guitar just plays like an absolute dream and the hardware is top notch! The electronics are in perfect working order and the Seymour Duncan APH-2s Alnico II Pro Slash pickups sound phenomenal and give this PRS a little more character and attitude! This pickup set sounds seriously mean through an overdriven Marshall! The bridge pickup delivers a woody, hollow bite with just enough sizzle and cut in the mid range and excellent note articulation while the neck pickup delivers a fat, rounded woody tone that is excellent for jazzy cleans and thick overdriven leads. This is a super solid trustworthy instrument that was built in the USA with great care and precision. If you are looking for an all around exceptional electric guitar, this one checks all the boxes.
