2020 Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass
Excellent condition featuring highly figured poplar body, two Alnico single coil pickups, two volume controls and one tone control with black plastic knobs, three ply black plastic pickguard, maple C shape neck with black binding, maple fingerboard with black block inlays starting at the first fret, bone nut, maple peghead with vintage Squier and Jazz Bass logos, vintage style tuners, four bolt neck fastening plate, nickel plated metal hardware, and gloss natural finish. The serial number has been stickered over and there is a faint used stamp on the top of the back of the peghead, but this bass has no apparent flaws and appears to have barely been played.
This Classic Vibe Jazz Bass looks, feels, and sounds incredible. The instruments that Squier is producing these days continue to impress us with their quality. This Jazz Bass has an extremely figured poplar body that we haven't seen on any of their other models recently. The vintage lacquered fingerboard and neck feel awesome. This is an all around cool 70s reissue bass.
From the manufacturer: The Classic Vibe ‘70s Jazz Bass® is a nod to the 1970s evolution of the J Bass®, combining the luxurious playability that made it famous with the versatility and massive tone of its dual Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style bridge with slotted barrel saddles for solid string stability. This throwback Squier model also features 1970s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.
