2020 Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s Bourbon Burst
Excellent condition featuring AA flame maple top with Bourbon Burst finish and cream binding, mahogany neck and body with cherry red stain finish, two Epiphone ProBucker humbucking pickups with chrome covers and cream pickup surround rings, two volume controls and two tone controls with gold reflector top knobs, three way toggle switch on upper bass bout with cream colored Rhythm and Treble poker chip, SlimTaper™ 60s C shape neck profile, bound Indian Laurel fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays and medium jumbo frets, black headstock overlay with pearloid Epiphone and gold printed Les Paul Model logos, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with kidney bean buttons, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover, elevated cream pickguard, LockTone™ ABR Tune-o-matic™ bridge, stop tailpiece, two black plastic control cavity cover plates, chrome plated metal hardware, and two metal strap buttons. The serial number of this guitar has been stickered over and there is a faint USED stamp on the back of the headstock, but the guitar has no apparent flaws.
This Les Paul is in unused condition and does not appear to have been played. The frets and finish are in mint condition. The slim 60s taper neck profile is extremely comfortable and the Bourbon Burst finish and new headstock shape are very attractive. The Epiphone ProBucker humbuckers deliver a fat and warm tone with enough bite to cut through the mix. The Grover Rotomatic tuning machines keep this guitar in excellent tune and have a great classic look. This is a whole lotta Les Paul for the money.
From the manufacturer: The Les Paul™ Standard 60s models from Epiphone’s new Inspired by Gibson™ Collection recreate the sound of 1960s era Les Pauls. Featuring a classic mahogany body with a maple cap, Grover® tuners, and powered by ProBucker™ humbuckers with CTS® potentiometers. Epiphone’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940 when Les built one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. Les’ first solid body guitar, nicknamed “the Log”, would go on to inspire the Les Paul Standard, which many consider the greatest electric guitar ever made.
