Excellent condition featuring single cutaway mahogany body with red stain finish, two-piece figured maple top with Lemonburst finish and cream binding (thin through the cutaway like a 50s Les Paul), two humbucking pickups with double black exposed coils and cream pickup surrounds, two volume controls and two tone controls with gold bonnet knobs, three way toggle switch with cream Rhythm and Treble ring, single ply cream elevated pickguard with chrome metal bracket, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, mahogany neck with cherry red stain finish, bound Richlite fingerboard with trapezoid inlays starting at the third fret, redesigned Epiphone open book peghead, black peghead face with Epiphone logo and printed Les Paul Model logo, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover with Standard engraving, three per side Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with green keystone buttons, serial number impressed in the back of the peghead, single ply black plastic electronics control cover plate and switch cover plate, two metal strap buttons, and Roadrunner black molded plastic hard shell case. This 2020 Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. The neck profile is that of the "50s" shape and feels nice, chunky and comfortable in hand. The Lemonburst finish is attractive and pairs well with the beautifully figured maple top. The frets show no signs of use and have loads of life. This guitar has been professionally set up and plays fantastic up and down the fingerboard. The guitar shows no signs of wear anywhere and is very clean. The tuning machines have been upgraded to Gibson Deluxe Kluson style tuning machines which operate smoothly and keep this instrument in great tune. The previous owner upgraded the pickups to a set of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Slash Signature Series humbuckers. These pickups were professionally installed and are a major upgrade for this Les Paul. It sounds fantastic plugged in with a very clear biting tone from the bridge position pickup and a very natural and woody tone from the neck pickup. The guitar also features the new modern Epiphone peghead shape which I believe to be much more attractive than the old one. The guitar is housed in a nice Roadrunner hard shell case and is ready for gigs, living room use, or recording right out of the case. A whole lotta Les Paul for the money.
