Excellent condition featuring asymmetrical pointed double cutaway contoured mahogany body, one humbucking pickup in the neck position, one mini-humbucker with black plastic pickup surround in the bridge position, two volume controls and two tone controls with black plastic reflector top knobs, 3 way rotary selector switch with black plastic chicken head knob and round black selector plate, top loading EB bridge unit with four individual adjustable steel saddles, small multi-ply black and white plastic beveled edge pickguard, set mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays starting at the 3rd fret, synthetic bone nut, Epiphone open book style peghead with pearloid Epiphone logo and decorative crown inlay, multi-ply black and white plastic bell shaped truss rod cover with “E” echelon logo, two per side individual vintage style open gear tuning machines with clover shaped tuning buttons, serial number impressed into the back of the peghead, single ply black plastic electronics control cover plate, two metal strap buttons, black finish, and chrome plated metal hardware. This bass weighs 8lb 11oz.
This 2020 Epiphone EB-3 bass guitar is in overall excellent cosmetic condition showing very minimal signs of play wear throughout including a few small scuffs on the back that aren't through the finish. The clear protective plastic film is still present on the electronics plate. The long scale neck has a chunky, round carve and feels exceptional in the hand. The frets are in excellent condition, show no signs of play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them. This bass plays great up and down the fingerboard. The pickups in this instrument sound very good and combined with the 3 way rotary selector switch and volume and tone controls, this bass has a wide variety of cool and usable tones. From warm, woody and wide bottom end to bright and snappy top end. Epiphone has always built very solid yet affordable instruments and I think these recently made EB-3s are absolutely fantastic and offer a bit more for your hard earned dollar.
