Excellent condition featuring double cutaway body with black finish, multi-ply black pickguard, two single coil pickups and one Squier by Fender humbucking pickup with black pickup covers, one volume control and two tone controls with black and white knobs, six point pivot tremolo bridge with six individual adjustable bent steel Squier stamped saddles, maple neck with vintage tint and walnut backstripe, maple fingerboard with vintage tint, medium jumbo frets and black dot inlays starting at the third fret, maple peghead with Squier by Fender and Stratocaster vintage style logos, six in a line vintage Kluson style tuning machines with smooth round steel buttons, single ply black tremolo cavity cover plate, four bolt neck fastening plate with engraved Squier logo, and two metal strap buttons.
This 70s style Squier Stratocaster absolutely rips. The extremely cool and punchy sounding bridge position humbucker sounds fantastic and delivers superb rock tones. The neck position and middle position single coil pickups are well matched, very balanced and offer a vintage Strat sound. The neck profile is on the chunky side and paired with the polyurethane fingerboard, it plays extremely well and is very comfortable. The plastic film is still on the pickguard and it hasn't been played much, if at all. The last two digits of the serial number are missing (see photos). If I wasn't in the business of selling guitars, I'd keep this one. It's a killer Strat.
