This very fine 2018 Gibson ES-355 Diamond is in excellent, virtually unplayed cosmetic condition showing no signs of play wear throughout other than some very faint and small pick scratches on the pickguard. This instrument was built by Gibson in the Memphis, Tennessee, plant for the 2018 NAMM show. I purchased this guitar directly from one of the Gibson Memphis plant managers. The interior label is noted as being a NAMM 18 model as does the COA. They built a few “Diamond” models for the show and this one, to my knowledge, is the only one that was finished in Gold Sparkle. This guitar has a chunky, rounded neck shape (similar to the '64 reissues) with a 1 11/16” nut width that feels and plays superb. The frets on this instrument are in unplayed condition. The Gibson MHS humbucking pickups sound absolutely brilliant and have a very woody articulate tone. The guitar is wired mono and came from the factory without a Varitone switch. This is a very finely built and unique ES-355 that sounds, plays and looks out of this world. This instrument will continue to increase in value and will make a tremendous addition to any guitar collection.
