Excellent condition featuring single cutaway semi-hollow ash body with single F hole, multi-ply pearloid pickguard, two wide range humbucking pickups with Fender embossed covers, one volume control and one tone control with tall knurled metal knobs, three-way pickup selector switch with black plastic tip, flat Fender bridge with six individual adjustable bent steel Fender stamped saddles, maple neck with walnut skunkstripe, maple fingerboard with black dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, maple Telecaster peghead with vintage style black and gold block Fender logo, Telecaster logo and Thinline logo, adjustable bullet truss rod, single string tree, six in a line vintage style Fender F stamped tuners, serial number and Made in Mexico printed on the back of the peghead, three bolt neck fastening plate with engraved F stamp and Fender micro neck adjust and patent number, string through body construction with six individual metal ferrules, two metal strap buttons, natural finish, and padded gig bag. This guitar weighs 7lb 10oz.
This 2015 Fender Thinline Telecaster is in excellent cosmetic condition showing only one minor ding in the finish (see photos). This instrument is set up in great playing order and plays excellent up and down the fingerboard. The neck is a comfortable D shape. The frets show hardly any signs of play wear and have tons of life left. The two wide range humbucking pickups sound ridiculously good and are very well balanced. The bridge pickup delivers a fat articulate cutting sound that is suitable for overdriven tones and clean tones. The neck pickup has a round jazzy sound that sounds great for overdriven leads and clean chords.
These '72 reissue Thinline Telecasters have been consistently good every time we get one in the shop and this one is no exception. These are exceptional guitars for not a ton of money. If you're after a fine electric guitar that's suitable for stage, studio or home use, this is a great one!
