2013 Martin D-18E Retro Acoustic/Electric

Excellent condition featuring dreadnought body size, Sitka spruce top with forward shifted scalloped X bracing, mahogany neck, back and sides, tortoiseshell grain top and back body bindings, factory installed Fishman Aura electronics, ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays, 1 3/4" nut width, ebony belly bridge, bone nut and saddle, nickel open gear tuners with butterbean knobs, CF Martin & Co gold script peghead logo, and original Martin hard shell case. 

This 2013 D-18E Retro is a fantastic player with a very loud, dry and articulate sound. It's been played quite a bit so it shows signs of use here and there, but it also sounds very alive and has really opened up. The neck profile is 1 3/4" nut width but shallow in depth and very easy to play. 

This Martin has recently been professionally set up. The neck is in great shape with optimal neck angle and has comfortable and low action. If you'd prefer different action, another set up would do the trick, but the guitar plays amazing and feels just right to us with the current set up. The frets have been dressed and have plenty of life left in them. There are small marks on the back of the peghead from a capo (see photos). There is a less than 1" professionally repaired crack on the treble side bout and a small ding on the top at the shoulder on the treble side. The Fishman Aura Plus pickup system is functioning perfectly and is a great option for live performance. This D-18 weighs 4lb 7oz and is the perfect blend of vintage building techniques and modern appointments for today's player. This well loved and maintained D-18E Retro is ready for a good new home. We suspect its new owner will love it just as much.
