The 2009 Gibson SG Classic is in excellent cosmetic condition and is set up in fantastic playing order. This guitar has been professionally set up. The neck profile is chunky and round and feels comfortable in hand. The frets show very minimal wear and have a lifetime of playing left in them. This SG has received some exceptional upgrades including aged Grover Rotomatic “milk bottle” tuning machines, an aged Faber ABR-1 bridge with Gotoh ultra lightweight aluminum tailpiece, new CTS 500k potentiometers, NOS Sprague .22 Black Beauty capacitors, a new Switchcraft toggle switch, copper control cavity shielding and a set of Wolfetone Mean/Meaner P-90 pickups. All the modifications have been professionally performed and the work is very tidy. These modifications have turned this SG Classic into an absolutely amazing instrument and it is a sheer joy to play. This is by far the best sounding modern P-90 SG that I have ever played. The Faber tune-o-matic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners keep the tuning stability impeccable on this instrument and the Wolfetone P-90s are, in my opinion, second to none. If you're looking for a workhorse of an SG that needs absolutely nothing and is ready for anything right out of the case, then this is the one.
