2007 Ibanez J. Custom RG8470F-BX Black Onyx

This Ibanez J. Custom RG8470F-BX is in excellent condition. This instrument shows only light signs of play wear throughout. There are no dings, dents or gouges anywhere that we can spot - just some light pick wear on the treble side top of body. This guitar is just extremely clean and tidy and appears to have been very well cared for. This model was produced by Ibanez in 2006-2007 and was masterfully built by FujiGen in Japan as part of the J. Custom series. This instrument features a mahogany body paired with a beautifully flamed two piece maple top, flamed maple binding and a killer looking Black Onyx finish bolted to a 5 piece maple/walnut 25 1/2” scale neck with 24 medium jumbo frets, Ibanez Super Wizard profile and a nice dark rosewood fingerboard with a stunning abalone Tree of Life inlay. This J. Custom has a great sounding set of pickups featuring a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge position, a DiMarzio Blue Velvet single coil in the middle position and a DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck position. The Cosmo Black hardware includes the Ibanez Edge Pro tremolo bridge, a Top-Lok III nut and a set of Gotoh SG381 tuning machines. 

The neck on this Ibanez feels stellar in the hand. The Super Wizard profile is very ergonomic, speedy and is extremely fun to play! The medium jumbo frets are in excellent condition. They are tall and show no dents or divots. This guitar has been set up with a set of .9 gauge strings and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with fast action and spot on intonation. The Edge Pro trem operates smoothly and the tuning stability is super solid. All three DiMarzio pickups sound fantastic in this guitar and deliver some super clear articulate tones that really shine through an overdriven amp. This very fine Ibanez guitar is housed in its original hardshell case, includes its original hang tags, manual and its original tremolo bar.
