Excellent condition featuring double cutaway asymmetrical mahogany body with cherry red stain finish, large multi-ply black and white pickguard, two Gibson humbucking pickups (490R and 496T), two volume controls and two tone controls with black reflector top knobs, three way pickup selector switch with white tip and black Rhythm and Treble poker chip, fully adjustable Nashville tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, mahogany neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Gibson open book peghead with black overlay and gold screen printed Gibson logo, bell shaped black truss rod cover with white SG engraving, Gibson Deluxe Kluson style tuning machines with green keystone buttons, serial number and Made in USA stamped on the back of the peghead, single ply black elongated electronics control cavity plate, two metal strap buttons, and aftermarket black hard shell case.
This 2006 Gibson SG Special is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition with the protective plastic covering and sticker still on the pickguard. This guitar features a nice chunky mahogany neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and feels great. This SG barely shows any signs of use, but the reflector top is missing off the neck position volume knob. The Gibson humbuckers in this guitar sound great with plenty of growl and bite. Since this model is a Special, it does feature dot inlays for a more subdued look. The hard shell case that's included is a little rough but all the latches work. This is a fantastic no nonsense rock-n-roll guitar.
