Excellent condition featuring double cutaway alder body with black finish, multi-ply white and black pickguard, two single coil Jazz Bass pickups, one volume control, one tone control and one blend control with black plastic Jazz Bass knobs mounted to elongated metal control plate, Fender Jazz Bass bridge with four individual adjustable saddles, maple neck with walnut skunk stripe, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, maple Fender Jazz Bass peghead with Fender logo, serial number, Jazz Bass and Made in Mexico, single round string tree, four open back tuning machines with clover buttons, small 60th Anniversary badge on the back of the peghead, four bolt neck fastening plate, chrome plated metal hardware, and two metal strap buttons.
This 2005 Standard Series Jazz Bass is in great cosmetic and playing condition. The neck is of a traditional Jazz Bass profile and is very comfortable in hand. The frets show very little play wear and are full of life. This bass is very resonant unplugged and vibrates against the body when played and the electronics sound fat and thumpy when plugged in. This Jazz Bass shows some signs of play wear throughout including a few scratches on the back of the body (see photos). The Fender Standard Series line is no longer being produced by Fender and these have always been great, well made instruments with extremely good value for the price. If you decide this is the bass for you, you won't be disappointed.
