2004 Fender American Standard Telecaster Black

Very good condition featuring single cutaway alder body with black finish, two single coil pickups, one volume control and one tone control with tall flat topped knurled metal knobs and three way pickup selector switch with black plastic switch tip mounted to elongated metal control plate, original flat Telecaster bridge with six individual adjustable steel block saddles,  multi-ply cream and black plastic pickguard, bolt on maple neck, maple fingerboard with black dot inlays starting at the 3rd fret, bone nut, Telecaster peghead shape, Fender spaghetti logo, Telecaster logo and Made in USA printed on the peghead face, single string tree, six in a line sealed Fender stamped tuning machines, serial number on the back of the peghead, four bolt neck fastening plate with Fender and Corona, California engravings, string through body construction with six individual metal string ferrules, two metal strap buttons, chrome plated metal hardware, and padded gig bag. This guitar weighs 8lb 2oz. 

This 2004 American Standard Telecaster is in very good cosmetic condition with two small dings in the finish (one on the top and one on the back edge of the body). The cream pickguard has darkened slightly and the original stickers were left on long enough to leave a hazy impression (see photos). The neck is very clean and the profile is that of a medium chunky modern C shape that is typical of American Standard Fenders of this era. This neck feels very nice and comfortable in the hand. The frets show only slight signs of use, have tons of life left and the fingerboard is also very clean. This Telecaster plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low action and great intonation. This guitar sounds great in all three pickup positions and delivers very clear articulate Telecaster tones from both pickups. The Fender American Standard Series instruments are tremendous and were built to be played.
