Excellent condition featuring double cutaway laminated maple semi-hollow body, two unbound f-holes, cream binding on the top and back body edges, two humbucking pickups with black pickup surrounds, multi-ply black and white elongated elevated pickguard with metal bracket, wired ABR bridge, stop tailpiece, two volume controls and two tone controls with gold bonnet knobs, three way toggle switch with aged tip, mahogany neck, bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, black headstock overlay with Gibson logo, bell shaped multi-ply truss rod cover, Gibson Deluxe vintage Kluson style tuning machines with green keystone buttons, serial number and Made in USA impressed into the back of the peghead, two metal strap buttons, natural finish, and original black Gibson hard shell case. This guitar weighs 8lbs 3oz.
This 2002 Gibson ES-333 semi-hollowbody is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. This guitar has been professionally set up and plays fantastic up and down fingerboard. The frets show no signs of play wear and have years of life left in them. The neck profile is that of the thin to medium variety with larger shoulders and a flat center. It feels fantastic in hand. The pickups sound absolutely amazing for anything from rock and rhythm and blues to screaming overdrive. The natural finish is quite attractive and is accentuated by the elongated pickguard and ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge. This ES-333 shows hardly any signs of play wear with only a few pickguard scratches. The caps appear to have been upgraded and the pickups appear to have aged covers.
This model was made by Gibson for a short time and is nearly the same as an ES-335 in build construction, but this guitar features a plain headstock with a gold Gibson logo and an electronics control cavity cover making it easier to rewire, fix, and/or change pickups. This model is getting harder to come by, especially in natural finish, and it's for good reason - these are quite awesome guitars. This is a super cool ES guitar for those looking for an instrument to mod or just something a bit different than a 335.
