This 1999 Fender Telecaster is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. The frets show light signs of use but are still full of life. The neck profile is that of a soft C and is very familiar and comfortable in hand. This guitar does show some play wear and has some small scratches here and there, but nothing that's a deal breaker. The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a flat pole '50s style pickup. The bridge has been changed to a flat style and wired Piezo saddles have been professionally installed. You're able to play this as a regular electric guitar or by using the concentric knob, you can blend in the Piezo pickup giving it a very acoustic sound. This Telecaster is perfect for someone who's looking for a versatile instrument and wants to be able to get acoustic guitar sounds without switching guitars. This guitar makes it easy to manipulate both of those things on the fly. The tuning machines have been upgraded to Fender locking units for superb tuning stability and extremely fast string changes. The Lake Placid Blue finish is very attractive and the pickguard really "ties the room together." The rosewood fretboard adds a little bit of tonal darkness and really works great with the Piezo pickups. If you're looking for a fine American made instrument for live gigs and/or studio use, this would be a great tool in the arsenal. The American Standard Series Fender guitars are no longer being produced and are absolutely great guitars.
