This 1996 Fender Standard Series Stratocaster is in excellent cosmetic condition showing some slight play wear throughout. There is a finish ding on the treble side edge of the body, the tremolo cavity cover plate is missing and there is a little bit of rust on the saddles (see photos - the saddles are all fully functional). Otherwise, this Stratocaster is in terrific shape. The neck profile on this instrument is that of a chunkier C shape with very nice shoulders and feels great in hand. It's one of the nicest feeling necks that I’ve come across on one of these models. The maple used for the neck is moderately flamed and really looks attractive. The frets are in good shape and have tons of life left in them and this guitar plays tremendous up and down the fingerboard. The original pickups in this guitar sound fantastic in every position and have a great squawk in the two and four positions. They are very clear and balanced and excel with a clean or dirty amp. These Standard Series Stratocasters are no longer being produced by Fender and have always been regarded as workhorse instruments of high quality. This 25 year old Stratocaster is no exception and will provide years of service to its next owner. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
