Very good condition featuring double cutaway laminated maple semi-hollow body, two f-holes, white binding on the top and back of the body, two original Gibson humbucking pickups with black pickup surrounds, multi-ply black and white pickguard with metal bracket, wired ABR bridge, stop tailpiece, two volume and two tone controls with gold bonnet knobs, three way toggle switch, mahogany neck, bound Indian rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays starting at the third fret, original bone nut, black headstock overlay with Gibson and crown pearl inlays, bell shaped multi-ply truss rod cover, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines, natural finish, and hard shell case.
These dot neck reissue ES-335 guitars are fantastic instruments with much more personality than a brand new model. The pickups in this guitar are extremely woody and brilliant sounding. The guitar holds great tune and is very fun to play. The previous owner really enjoyed this guitar and it shows. The frets on this guitar have been dressed and still have a bit of life left in them. The last six frets appear to be professionally scalloped on the treble side (see photos). The lacquer on the black headstock overlay has started to peel along the edges giving it a very attractive appearance and the finish has yellowed very nicely. The lacquer on the back of the neck has wear and there are pick and wear marks on the top of the guitar (see photos). There is lacquer wear from what appears to be someone using their pinky to operate the tone knob for the neck position pickup. If you're looking for a great 335 and want something with a ton of vibe, then this is your guitar.
