1986 Washburn G-5V Metallic Blue
This 1986 Washburn G-5V is in very good condition. This instrument shows light signs of play wear and age throughout but nothing really significant. We acquired this guitar from the original owner who adorned this Washburn with gold stripes shortly after he purchased it new. The stripes are made of tape that is strategically positioned and looks pretty cool and unique, in my humble opinion. There are no stripes on the back of the guitar. I believe the tape could be removed but we are choosing to leave it be, as it's lived on the guitar for so long! This Washburn has a nice slim neck profile that feels very era specific and fast! The neck is comfortable in hand and easy to play. The fret wire shows only slight wear with no dents or divots and the instrument has been set up and adjusted here at the shop. The electronics are all original, have been cleaned and function perfectly. The original passive Washburn pickups sound good, especially the humbucking bridge pickup that is quite hot and will deliver some pretty righteous overdriven tones! The original Washburn 2001 tremolo bridge unit is in great operating order and the guitar stays in tune quite well. The original tremolo bar is included and can be used on the right side or left side of the bridge! This guitar weighs 8lb 4oz. If you are looking for a pretty unique 1980s rock machine, then this 37 year old G-5V might just do the trick! This Washburn is housed in a padded gig bag that fits well and will ship out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door.
