1986 Gibson J-100E Acoustic/Electric Sunburst

Very good condition featuring 17" wide non-cutaway jumbo body shape, Sitka spruce top, multiple top bindings, single bound back, solid maple back and sides, small tortoiseshell grain Gibson teardrop pickguard, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays starting at the third fret,  bone nut and saddle, rosewood bridge, black headstock overlay with gold screenprinted Gibson logo, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover, black stinger on the back of the peghead with serial number and Made in USA stamp, Gibson Deluxe keystone tuning machines, factory installed electronics with large stereo style volume and tone knobs, output jack located at rear strap button, sunburst finish, and original Gibson hard shell case.

If you're looking for a good sounding and playing flattop, you might want to consider this 34 year old Gibson J-100E. This guitar has all of the dry thumpy Gibson goodness and also sounds pretty cool plugged in. When reintroduced in 1985, this instrument was an affordable alternative to the Gibson J-200 but features the same build quality, design and tone woods. Gibson acoustic instruments of this period are usually very heavily built, but this guitar is an exception weighing in at 5.6lbs. The battery clip is loose and needs to be
reglued. The white oval soundhole sticker label is peeling but legible. Otherwise, this guitar is in great shape.
