1982 Guild D-25M Dark Sunburst Dreadnought

Very good condition featuring dreadnought body shape, spruce top with dark sunburst finish and decorative soundhole rosette, arched mahogany back with dark stain finish, mahogany sides, multi-ply black top binding, black binding on the back body edges, rosewood bridge with bone saddle, tortoiseshell grain pickguard, mahogany neck with dark stain finish, rosewood fingerboard with small dot inlays starting at the fifth fret, Guild stamped chrome enclosed tuning machines, serial number and Made in USA stamped into the back of the peghead, gold Guild peghead logo, black truss rod cover, two metal strap buttons, and Roadrunner hard shell case.

This Guild D-25M is in overall very nice condition showing only minor play wear and a few small visible repairs. The peghead face has a blemish between the top two tuning machines which has been touched up (see photos). The pickguard is an older replacement which has started to gas off and is no longer flat but is a similar shape to the original pickguard. A disk type transducer pickup is attached to the bridge plate and an endpin jack has been installed.

This Guild plays very comfortably and sounds great. It has the classic Guild tone these are known for and would be well suited for live performance, studio use, and songwriting. It has a very uncommon finish that you don't see on these guitars too often. This guitar was made in Guild's Westerly, Rhode Island, factory. This is an all around great American made flattop from one of America's premier guitar companies at a great price. Don't miss out on this 39 year old D-25M.
