1981 Fender Bullet USA Olympic White

This 1981 Fender Bullet is in very good cosmetic condition. This guitar shows signs of play wear and age throughout including some dings around the body edges, pick scratches on the pickguard and some tarnish and light rust on the bridge and pickguard screws. The white plastic pickup covers and the white plastic button covers are missing in action. The Olympic White finish has yellowed and the original tuning machines have been replaced with an old set of West German made Schaller units. The screw holes remain from the old tuners and are visible. This guitar has a small, thin yet rounded neck profile with a very flat fingerboard. This neck is comfortable, easy to play and very typical of these instruments from this era. The original fret wire is in good shape and has plenty of life left. This guitar plays very well up and down the maple fingerboard with low action and great intonation. The electronics are all original, have been cleaned and are in great operational order. Both original Fender humbucking pickups sound very good. These pickups have a very clear bright punch to them that really cuts and works well for clean or overdriven tones alike. This pickup configuration is pretty rare for these models and you see a lot less of them than the other configurations. 1981 is first year of issue for the Fender Bullet and this one was built in the USA. This would make a very fine instrument for anyone looking for an entry level American made vintage guitar that plays and sounds great. This guitar weighs 6lb 12 oz and will ship in a gig bag.
