1980 Ibanez Blazer Bass Natural

Very good condition featuring double cutaway ash body, one Ibanez pickup, one volume and one tone control with brass knurled knob, Ibanez brass bridge with four individual adjustable brass barrel saddles, maple neck with walnut skunk stripe, maple fingerboard with black dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, bullet style truss rod system, maple peghead with Ibanez and Blazer Bass logos, single round string tree, open back Ibanez tuning machines with heart buttons, four bolt neck fastening plate with serial number and Made In Japan engraving, two metal strap buttons, and natural finish.

This 40 year old Ibanez Blazer Bass is from the first year of issue and this model did not have this set of specifications for very long. The pickguard is missing with the exception of the black control panel plate. The volume knob is a replacement gold speed knob. There is an extra hole in the heel of the neck for a strap button (see photos) and the bass has wear and dings throughout. This bass is set up in decent playing order and would probably benefit from a neck shim. That being said, this Ibanez Blazer Bass does play well and rips through an amp. This is a funky old bass that's definitely good enough for punk rock at a killer price.
