1971 Harmony H671 Hollowbody Sunburst

Very good condition featuring double cutaway laminated maple body, multi-bound top and single bound back edges, two bound F holes, two gold foil humbucking mustache pickups with black pickup surrounds, multi-ply tortoiseshell grain elevated pickguard with steel mounting bracket, two volume controls and two tone controls with brown reflector top stereo knobs, three-way pickup selector switch with white tip and diamond shaped plastic mounting plate, black enameled Bigsby tailpiece, wooden bridge base with Gibson Nashville tune-o-matic bridge, maple neck, multi-bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays starting at the third fret, plastic nut, Harmony peghead, tortoiseshell grain overlay with engraved Harmony logo and decorative fleur de lis, multi-ply tortoiseshell grain truss rod cover, three per side tuning machines with white plastic buttons, four bolt neck, two plastic strap buttons and sunburst finish.

This 1971 Harmony H671 is in overall very good cosmetic vintage condition showing only minor signs of play wear throughout including some paint chipping around the binding, some pick scratches, and a few dings here and there but nothing that's a dealbreaker. The neck profile is a D shape and is quite chunky and feels very good in hand. The frets show some signs of play wear in the cowboy cord area and could be dressed out if desired. Otherwise the instrument plays good up and down the fingerboard. This instrument is set up with an aftermarket bridge that consists of a Gibson Nashville tune-o-matic tailpiece on top of a wooden bridge base. The original bridge is included but the wooden bridge base is missing. The gold foil pickups sound awesome and really shine when paired with a clean Fender amp. The Bigsby tailpiece works properly and definitely furthers the coolness of this Harmony. The electronics are all original and operate smoothly without any crackles. This guitar plays well from the first fret to the 12th fret but it does get a little bit high from there and could be a little better with a proper set up.

These Chicago made Harmony hollowbody instruments have always been extremely cool and are quite collectable as well these days. It would be difficult to achieve the tone of this guitar out of anything else. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
